A look at Peyton Manning's career

INDIANAPOLIS — Peyton and Ashley Manning provided lunch for health care workers at St. Vincent Hospital to show their appreciation for the work the workers are doing on the coronavirus.

Manning, the quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts for more than a decade, has long been a supporter of St. Vincent. A grant from Manning to the children’s hospital in 2007 led to its renaming as the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent.

In addition to the lunch Thursday, the Mannings also provided donuts and cookies to the staff last week, according to the hospital.

“Thank you, Peyton and Ashley Manning, for treating our care team members to donuts from Jack's Donuts and cookies from Vanilla Bean Bakery last week, and providing lunch from St. Elmo Steak House today!” a Facebook post from the hospital reads. “We appreciate your encouragement and always showing how much you support our efforts.

Manning stopped playing for the Colts in 2012 but has continued to support the city and the community.
