INDIANAPOLIS — Eli Lilly is expanding their drive-thru COVID-19 testing service to essential workers who have regular contact with the public as part of their jobs and Hoosiers who are considered vulnerable and are showing symptoms of the virus.

Beginning April 1, Eligible Hoosiers who have made an appointment and have a physicians written order will be tested at Lilly's drive-thru testing site. There is no charge for the test.

Lilly's drive-through COVID-19 testing will not be available to members of the general public. They will continue to provide testing to eligible health care workers and first responders in the community. They will also continue to offer support to the Indiana State Department of Health through laboratory testing of samples obtained from hospitals.

Beginning Wednesday, April 1, individuals who will be eligible for the expanded testing efforts include:

            • Workers in businesses on the State of Indiana’s essential operations list who have regular contact with the public as part of their job.
            • People showing symptoms of COVID-19 who are age 65 or older - or those under 65 with symptoms who have a serious underlying illness and those with uncontrolled serious medical conditions.
